Youth Proficiency Scheme (YPS) Tutor Courses – supervision of air-rifle target shooting
All places on 11/12 June course in Fleet have been reserved
Hampshire Scouts Rifle Club is organising this National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) Youth Proficiency Scheme (YPS) Tutor’s Diploma course – the basic qualification required for the supervision of target shooting with airguns as a Scouting Activity.
12 places are currently available on each of these popular weekend 9-5 courses (booked on a first come first served basis – confirmed on receipt of payment) with dates for this course being 11/12 June in Fleet.
Cost is £90 per head for Scouters and £120 for other youth based, ‘charity’ registered, activity groups (In each case £45 is a non-refundable deposit if attendee withdraws). The course covers everything needed to equip candidates to run Scouting ‘have-a-go’ sessions in air rifle shooting and support young people shooting over a longer period. Refreshments are provided and accommodation / camping locally can be arranged.
Attending candidates must be 18 years+.
The courses will be delivered in compliance with any Covid restrictions, adhering to ‘safe practices’ and we’d also appreciate a Lateral Flow test being done on the day, before entering the classroom.
All enquiries to Dougal_DLM@yahoo.co.uk HSRC will also be offering other shooting qualification courses this year so please again contact Douglas Millard for information and to express interest.
